KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

 

After purchasing your tickets and prior to your show date, we will email you with detailed information to help you prepare for your upcoming trip to The Woodland Park Zoo.


When You Arrive

Upon arrival, please have your electronic or printed ticket ready for everyone so they can be scanned.

Please bring your lawn/outdoor chairs (26” and under)—seating is not provided.

Only clear bags that are 16” x 16” x 5” or smaller are allowed in the venue provided that they do not contain items on our prohibited items list. Small clutch-style purses/handbags no larger than 6” x 9” are the sole exception.



Food and Beverage Update


Food and beverage is permitted at ZooTunes as long as it follows these guidelines:

  • Food items must be in non-glass containers; coolers must be soft-sided and no larger than 14 x 14 x 14 inches
  • Reusable water bottles (non-glass) must be empty, and/or factory sealed (non-glass) bottled water
  • Baby bottles/formula must be in non-glass bottles
  • Picnic blankets and beach towels are no more than 5 feet in length or width. Depending on attendance, you may be asked to limit the footprint of your blanket

Driving Directions

Find the best transportation options for you and your crew — from onsite parking in our Parking Lots to carpool and bus information, we want you to enjoy your event from the moment you arrive.



North Entrance


Bear parking lot on N. 59th Street. From downtown, take I-5 north to N. 50th St. (Exit #169). Go west 1.3 miles (remain in right lane). Continue west on 50th which winds to the right and turns into Phinney Ave. N. Continue straight (north) on Phinney, go past West Entrance (55th & Phinney). Turn right at N. 59th St. (7-11 store on corner). Take first right into zoo North Entrance (Evanston Ave). You will now be in the Bear Lot, and can continue through the Bear Lot to reach the Otter Lot.


West Entrance


5500 Phinney Ave. N. From the North, take I-5 south to NE 50th Street (Exit #169). Go west 1.3 miles to the South Gate at N. 50th Street and Fremont Avenue North or the West Entrance off Phinney Avenue between N. 55th and N. 56th.


South Entrance


750 N. 50th St. From the South / Downtown, take I-5 north to NE 50th Street (Exit #169). Go west 1.3 miles to the South Entrance at N. 50th Street and Fremont Avenue N. By Bicycle

Secure bicycle parking is available at the West Entrance to the zoo.


By Carpool

A limited number of premium spaces are reserved for carpool vehicles in the zoo’s Bear lot on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

Parking Information

Electronic payment will be accepted through the PayByPhone or Honk Mobile parking apps. The PayByPhone and Honk Mobile apps are available in the App Store for iPhone and Google Play for Android. Guests may also pay on-site by visiting www.PayByPhone.com or calling (888) 515-7275. Electronic payment is highly recommended.

For visitors who are unable to download the app, you can pay at one of the many parking kiosks located in the parking lots, or at the West gate entrance. Please make note of your license plate number to ensure your car is recorded as “paid.”

Parking fees do not apply for any vehicle displaying a valid disabled parking placard, in any WPZ parking space. Buses, RVs and other oversize vehicle spots are located at the Hippo Lot on a first come first serve basis. Please note, there are only 5 spots total.

The zoo has multiple parking lots available for concert parking. In order of proximity to the West Entrance:

  • Penguin Lot at Phinney Ave. N. and N. 55th St.
  • Bear Lot at N. 59th St. and Evanston Ave. (Otter Lot is accessible from Bear and Penguin lots.)
  • Flamingo Lot at the intersection of N. 50th St. and Phinney Ave. N.
  • Hippo Lot at the intersection of N. 50th St. and Fremont Ave. N.
  • New: Electric car charging stations available through ChargePoint: there are four ChargePoint chargers in the Otter Lot by the West Entrance, and two ChargePoint chargers in the Hippo Lot by the South Entrance. Parking and charging fees apply.

Prices for parking in all zoo lots:


$6 for first 2 hours; $2 each additional hour.
$12.00 maximum daily rate
(+ taxes and fees)*

Additional parking is located in Lower Woodland Park at N. 50th and Aurora Ave. N. about .1 mile from the South Entrance. If you park in residential neighborhoods, please be courteous and do not block driveways.
